Five Records I Can't Live Without - Jon Tolley, Banquet Records
Banquet Records is an independent record shop, and also a concert promoter. While we are and always will be a record shop, a big part of why Banquet is valued is that–as our strapline states–we’re “more than your local record shop”. We put on 200 events a year and the live concerts we help bring to Kingston means the town punches above its weight in the quality of touring artists who visit town.
You can spend Record Tokens both instore and online with Banquet - great news if any of the below tickle your fancy!

"They break bones and mend minds. One of few bands who use their platform for such positivity, the music itself is addictive and powerful. This is an album of the year contender."

"It’s a document of our time, and something which has opened the way for countless to follow."

"This album changed my life. In the Britpop war I fell on Blur’s side and this was the sound of my teens."

"Another album that changed my life. Melodic punk-rock with a message that showed me there was a world of music away from what I heard on the radio."

"Life affirming beauty and fragility, and the timeless track New Slang."
